“The Art of the Violin”, by Brendan Shea

The Venue Fine Art & Gifts will host a violin concert by Brendan Shea, Assistant Instructor at the Jacobs School of Music. Brendan began violin at the age of 3, making his debut with orchestra at the age of 12. While in school Brendan won many local, regional, and national competitions. Since entering conservatory at Indiana University, Brendan has performed regularly with Orchestra in recitals nationally and internationally, and has been a semi-finalist in several major international competitions. This concert is a part of his final preparation for the 8th Seoul International Music Competition.

Brendan’s program for this concert will be: Bach Sonata No. 1 in G minor, Paganini Caprice No 10, 15 and Lim Jiesun Shadow Capriccio for violin solo, commissioned for the 8th Seoul International Music Competition.

The Venue will provide refreshments. A selection of paintings, jewelry, ceramics, and other gifts will also be on display and available for purchase. Free parking is available in the lot on the corner of 4th and Grant.
