‘The Visit to the Sepulchre,’ A Medieval Play

On May 12, the seventh and final Sunday of the Easter season, Indiana University students will present the sung medieval liturgical drama “Visitatio sepulchri.” This play, from the 12th century French manuscript known as the “Fleury Playbook,” tells the story of the three Marys, who go to the tomb of the crucified Christ, only to discover that he is not there. Performers include Amy Bearden, Nick Burdick, Claire Daniels, Pedro Funes, Katie Gunn, Chris Lynch, Lindsey McLennan, Brian McNulty, Martin Shedd, Thea Smith, and Dean Strouse.
