Photo Options, $3 or $10 Per Photo (cash or check only)

Every child has the opportunity to get their photo taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Each photo is placed into a protective cover so it may be enjoyed all season long and/or year after year!

1. Option 1 – Traditional Print Photo, $10
Includes a printed photo placed in a protective holiday folder to be enjoyed all season long. Additional prints may be purchased for $10 each.

2. Option 2 – Take Your Own, $3
Using your own device, you may take photos of your child with Santa in the decorative, holiday scene.

Following the photo, smile big or make a funny face while Karen Kovich, the caricature artist, sketches a FREE, one-of-a-kind drawing of any willing participant!

200 Years of Monroe County Cemeteries

As the Monroe County Bicentennial year draws to a close, the MCHC Cemetery Committee will recount all of the tremendous work they have done in Monroe County cemeteries, some of which were featured in their 2018 Bicentennial Calendar. From preservation workshops to in-depth research, the many hours spent working in the hundreds of Monroe County cemeteries are sure to provide many exciting stories from committee members for the community to hear!

Messiah Sing-along

The Bloomington Chamber Singers will continue its annual tradition of hosting a reading of Part One of Handel’s beloved oratorio, Messiah. This annual free Bloomington Christmas event draws hundreds of area singers (and listeners) who come together to experience Handel’s remarkable music. The reading concludes with the “Hallelujah Chorus.” BCS Music Director and Conductor Gerald Sousa will lead the combined singers.

Admission is free, but attendees are asked to please bring a canned good to contribute towards a local food bank donation. Singers, if you have your own Messiah score, please bring it to use. A limited number will be available for purchase or loan.

4th Annual Gingerbread Workshops by Sugar & Spice

Getting into the holiday spirit has never been easier with the 4th annual Gingerbread Workshops by Sugar & Spice, IU Catering’s in-house bakery. Held from 3-5p.m. on Sunday December 2, 9 and 16 in the Tudor Room on the First Floor of the Indiana Memorial Union, more people than ever before will have the chance to be part of this special multi-generational experience. Up to 4 people can work on each house for only $25, and the cost includes hot cocoa, cookies, and everything you’ll need to decorate your very own Gingerbread House. This event generally sells-out quickly; so choose the date that suits you best, register for the workshop at go.iu.edu/gingerbread, then gather your family and friends and get ready for this special IU tradition!

Cicada Cinema presents ‘Tis The Season’ an evening of short films and festive merriment!

Get in the holiday spirit and join us for a heart warming night at the Fell. There will be festive drinks, snacks, prizes and fun in store as well as a specially curated collection of festive short films to bring you joy and cheer.

For those of you that joined us last year for “A Very British Christmas’ you might remember some of our festive and fun traditions, well although not all the films and fun are British themed this year expect to see some crackers and Christmas puds ;)
