Dawn is a self-taught artist, who currently works full-time out of her home studio in Indianapolis, IN. She has been working in glass since 2006, but has been fascinated by it ever since her father introduced her to it as a child. Though she has tried stained and blown glass, fused glass caught her attention. She is always trying to learn new techniques so she can grow as an artist and constantly create unique art pieces.

EIGHT years!!! Some folks didn’t thing a Singer-Songwriter ‘In the Round’ would work in Bloomington IN – or that top notch Songwriters would travel to be part of the programs – alongside the best local talent we could book – but they were wrong!! The Bloomington Songwriter Showcase has done nothing but gain popularity with the local Audiences since it was founded in 2007. Touring writers have found one another via the Showcase – and they are best friend as we recruit the best of the best who talk among themselves – NOT just about their positive Showcase experiences, but about how much talent we have right here in Southern Indiana and about how wonderful it is right here in Bloomington IN – a place to visit if you are in the vicinity!! The Showcase has been an Ambassador for Bloomington and many of our Singer-Songwriters have met and now work with the folks touring the country OR have been invited to visit and perform in other parts of the Country simply because they were on a Showcase with a writer they wouldn’t have met otherwise . . . it’s a WIN-WIN for all.
TONIGHT’s Showcase will be mostly local talent – who will be performing one song each about something related to the Showcase – and we look forward to having them all in house this evening. THERE WILL BE CAKE!!! Supplied by the host venue – The Players Pub – who we thank every week for sharing the vision and giving us the room for this amazing program!!
