Monthly Parkinson’s Support Group

03:00 pm to 04:00 pm
The Endwright Center

Parkinson’s is a part of some people’s lives but it doesn’t have to be life itself. When we not only manage the disease but also plan ahead for new symptoms that may arise, we more easily adapt. This is an interactive group with opportunities for sharing and questions. Heather will introduce some chair exercises and offer support for caregivers as well. Anyone living with Parkinson’s is invited to join at any time. The group meets monthly and is always open to newcomers. Sponsored by Covenant Care.

About the Monthly Facilitator: Heather Gaunt (Covenant Care , McCormick’s Creek Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing,) has been working in healthcare for the last 8 years with a primary focus on older adults, rehab for those adults as well as preventative measures to allow them to remain independent for as long as possible. Call to register, or for more information: 876-3383 ex. 515

Reading the Trail Tracking Workshop
Thursday, July 9 at 10:00 a.m.

• Sign up at http://bit.ly/readingtrail2015
• Preregistration is required by July 7.
• Limited to 10 people. Restricted to ages 14 and up.
• Workshop fee is $5 per person.

Location: Paynetown SRA
You don’t need to actually see animals to know that they have been hanging around… the tracks and signs that they leave behind can provide tons of info about which animals have been there and what they were doing. During this workshop, you’ll learn how to read the story that tracks tell. We’ll cover basic track identification, track-way interpretation, and more. The first portion of the workshop will be inside and then we’ll go outside for the second part to look for tracks and practice our new skills. 2 hours

Though she has tried stained and blown glass, fused glass caught her attention. She is always trying to learn new techniques so she can grow as an artist and constantly create unique art pieces.
