“Keep it Up, Preserve Your HomesValue”, a Presentation by Karen Pitkin

05:30 pm to 07:00 pm
The Venue

On Tuesday, June 19th, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Venue will host a presentation by Karen Pitkin, on how to preserve the Value of your home.
You know how frustrating it is to be offered valuable information and to listen to 20 minutes of hype, only to find out that that you have to buy the book or cd to get it? This is not that.
Karen Pitkin has been one of Bloomington’s leading Realitors since 1995, having participated in over 2,000 closings. In addition she has personally purchased and rehabbed 15 homes for sale.
In her presentation Karen will share simple and often free measures that will allow you to maintain your homes value, things you can do by yourself, for yourself, that will save you thousands of dollars if and when you sell. For most of us, our homes are our most significant investment. Karen will teach us how to protect it.

Kade Puckett, Scott Freed, Gideon Wainwright – The B-Town Songwriter Showcase

08:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Bears Place - 1316 East 3rd St., Bloomington IN 47401
http://www.facebook.com/BloomingtonSongwriters

Tonight we’ve got none other than Kade Puckett laying down some of his crazy-good tunes. Mostly instrumental swing, jazz with a hint of Chet Atkins, this young man knows how to grab an Audience and keep ’em in their seats. Scott Freed is making a rare appearance this evening as well. Scott’s has a crystal clear voice, and his songs have won him acclaim at places like Kerrville. Also making a rare showcase appearance this evening is Gideon Wainwright – a Honky-Tonk, County, Blues kinda guy who is most often found with his band ‘The Constitution’ in the Indianapolis area. We suspect this will be a really great program with three exceptional men sharing the stage.

We will also have our Open Guest’s Share-a-Chair. If you are a Songwriter and would enjoy performing an original song, then reserve your spot at [email protected] or show up early and sign up. Guest spots are limited to 5 / showcase.

As always – the Showcase is FREE

An Important Message from Bloom Magazine

For the past 14 years, we have been publishing Bloom, a free, bimonthly cultural and lifestyle magazine serving Bloomington, Indiana, and surrounding communities. We have four missions: to support local businesses, local charities, local arts, and diversity. We are an integral part of the fabric of this community.

Like so many small businesses (4 employees), we are facing huge challenges in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope to be able to continue producing the magazine and our website, magbloom.com, but we need your help.

Please consider donating to our GoFundMe drive using the link below. Thank you!
