Bloomington Songwriter Showcase with Jim Krause & Anne Hurley, Cara Jean Marcy, Bulldog Johnson, & Tim O’Malley

8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Bear's Place - 1316 E. 3rd St., Bloomington, IN 47401
http://facebook.com/BloomingtonSongwriters

The Bloomington Songwriter Showcase is pleased to present Dynamic Duo, Jim Krause & Anne Hurley – jimkrausemusic.com / annehurley.com – this evening. Jim & Anne’s music is mostly instrumental, and with Jim’s delicate guitar work and his cool mandolin style combined with Anne’s gorgeous cello work, the two paint audio pictures of lakes, rivers, mountains, and nearly any place they might have traveled – especially when traveling on their sailboat. The pair have backed up nearly anyone who is anyone in this area and are a must see for those of you who have never seen them. They’ll be sharing the stage with the uber-talented Cara Jean Marcy – facebook.com/carajeanmarcy – who with her outstanding alto vocals and beautiful, well-written songs, is always an audience favorite. Tim O’Malley – timbloos.com – will be performing this evening, too! O’Malley is a Blues guy by reputation (as one of the finest Blues guitarists around), but he’s written some very exceptional songs that are decidedly Americana/Alternative in style. This is Tim’s first Showcase in our new venue (other than the big grand opening showcase). We’re looking forward to hearing from our friend Tim O’Malley. Speaking of our old friends – (not that he’s old), we’ve got another longtime performer on stage this evening with Bulldog Johnson – sdexterjohnson.com. Bulldog is known for his finger-picking, Dixie, Delta, Folk style. Seems like AGES since we’ve had Bulldog on a full Feature Performer spot – this is gonna be a GREAT SHOWCASE!
NO COVER CHARGE – MUST be 21+ to enter Bear’s (go all the way to the back of the building if you enter from the front door!!!)
