At The Venue: A Presentation by Sarah K. Schuetz, The Power of Movement

05:30 pm to 07:00 pm
The Venue Fine Art & Gifts

Sarah K. Schuetz believes in the power of movement to facilitate lasting change from the inside-out. Whether it is in a Pilates capacity or on the Ortho-Bionomy® table, Sarah is passionate about supporting people to feel empowered in their bodies, moving and feeling their best. Ortho-Bionomy is a gentle, table-based body therapy received fully clothed. The modality aims to help humans experience more balance and ease in their lives. With roots in osteopathy, the aim of Ortho-Bionomy is to re-educate the body, helping it remember how to feel optimal by supporting its innate reflexes. It is highly effective for acute and chronic stress, pain, injuries, and other issues associated with postural and structural imbalances. The practitioner uses gentle movements and positions of the body to facilitate the change of such patterns with an emphasis on the comfort of the individual; there are no forceful manipulations. Common benefits of Ortho-Bionomy include reduced muscle tension, soothing of the joints, increased mobility, improved circulation, restful sleep, and a general sense of relaxation and wellbeing.
Sarah brings to her Ortho-Bionomy practice decades of movement experience in athletic, artistic, and recreational capacities, which grants her a deep understanding of the body in motion and in stillness. She embraces the mantra “a healthy mind in a healthy body”. Word play, live music, dancing, travel, gardening, photography, exploring nature, and letting curiosity lead the way sustain Sarah.
Back home in the Hoosier heartland after having lived in a number of the southeastern United States, Sarah is thrilled to build her practice among friends, old and new. Her presentation and demonstration will be dynamic, interactive, and fun. Join Us.
Sarah’s presentation will take place on Tuesday eve, July 11th, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
