BHRG Playoffs Viewing Party

10:00 am
Uptown Café, 102 E Kirkwood Ave
http://www.bleedingheartlandrollergirls.com/wftda-playoffs-soon/

You’ve all been waiting for it, and the day has nearly arrived – the day of Bleeding Heartland’s first foray into the Division 1 playoffs of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).

Friday, September 6th, your very own Bloomington rollergirls will battle Cincinnati in Fort Wayne, IN, where teams from across the country and the globe – London, Montreal, St. Louis, Denver, and more – will compete in a display of hard-hitting athleticism. The outcome will determine Bleeding Heartland’s next bout – visit WFTDA’s bracket to see the full outline of the 3-day, action-packed schedule.

Our tourney team skaters are stoked for this opportunity, and they’ve been working hard for it, practicing on and off skates.

It’s been a long road to get here, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our fans, friends, and families – we can’t thank you all enough. Now ranked #35 in the world, we have the chance to play top-ranked derby teams.

Our first bout will be at 10 am in the Memorial Coliseum. Visit WFTDA’s site for helpful information on attending the tournament, which runs from September 6-8 and is graciously hosted by the Fort Wayne Derby Girls, and for information about buying tickets.

Can’t make it to Fort Wayne? Uptown Café will host a viewing party at 10 am Friday, Sept. 6th, during our first bout! Uptown Café is located at 102 E. Kirkwood Ave. in downtown Bloomington.

Cost: Free to attend
