Resilience á la Mode at the Grunwald Gallery

06:00 pm to 07:00 pm
Grunwald Gallery of Art, Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design, Indiana University Bloomington

The Grunwald Gallery of Art is pleased to announce the upcoming Rebloomed Design, Resilience á la Mode Fashion Show. There will be a fashion show on Saturday, October 23rd from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Grunwald Gallery of Art. Gallery entry and all events are free and open to the public.

Rebloomed Design by Daisy May presents Resilience á la Mode, a combustion of art in fashion with work depicting eighteen ensembles made entirely from recycled materials. May started Rebloomed Design in 2017, reworking secondhand textiles such as quilts, linens, and everyday household materials into clothing that is nostalgic and gives the wearer a sense of comfort and affirmation. Fashion helps us artistically communicate who we are, who we want to be, where we are going, and where we have been. The convergence of art and fashion is symbiotic. Everything that exists and surrounds us is a product of the society we live in.
