Seen: Queer Voices and Faces

06:00 pm to 08:00 pm
Grunwald Gallery of Art

Join Bloomington PRIDE and the Grunwald Gallery of Art for Seen: Queer Voices and Faces, an event of original and selected poetry performed against the backdrop of Every Breath We Drew—Jess Dugan’s renowned series of photographs depicting intimacy and identity. The exhibit asks larger questions about how identity is formed, desire is expressed, and intimate connection is sought.

Members of Bloomington’s LGBTQ+ community are invited to share their words and poems that resonate with their lives and experiences. To participate, please email [email protected]

Bloomington PRIDE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving the LGBTQ+ communities of Bloomington and South Central Indiana through advocacy, outreach, safe-space programs, and arts and culture events. Seen: Queer Voices and Faces takes place the night before Bloomington’s sixth annual Pridefest celebration on Kirkwood Avenue.

Cost: Free and Open to the public

An Important Message from Bloom Magazine

For the past 14 years, we have been publishing Bloom, a free, bimonthly cultural and lifestyle magazine serving Bloomington, Indiana, and surrounding communities. We have four missions: to support local businesses, local charities, local arts, and diversity. We are an integral part of the fabric of this community.

Like so many small businesses (4 employees), we are facing huge challenges in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope to be able to continue producing the magazine and our website, magbloom.com, but we need your help.

Please consider donating to our GoFundMe drive using the link below. Thank you!
