The historic Tivoli Theatre, located in Spencer, Indiana, is offering socially distanced movies free of charge.

The films have been sponsored by various regional organizations and include It’s a Wonderful Life, The Grinch, White Christmas, and The Polar Express. By attending a free film and shopping concessions, movie-goers can help the theater remain operational into the new year.

The Tivoli is also offering a discounted private movie rental rate of $125, which includes the rental of the entire auditorium with room for up to 100 guests to socially distance and a screening of a movie of your choice.

  • Arsenic and Old Lace, November 12 at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. (Sponsored by IU Health).
  • Too Many Husbands, November 19 at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. (Sponsored by Babbs Supermarket).
  • It’s a Wonderful Life, November 28 and 29 at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. (Sponsored by The Historic Artcraft Theatre).
  • The Nativity Story, December 3 at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. (Sponsored by Lighthouse Fellowship).
  • The Grinch, December 5 at 2 p.m. (Sponsored by OC Prosecutor Title IV-D).
  • White Christmas, December 6 at 6:30 p.m. (Sponsored by Unraveled Quilts, Relics, and Hammond Florist).

The Tivoli Theatre is working to ensure guest safety by reducing seating capacity, providing free hand sanitizer, and enhancing theater cleaning procedures. Masks and social distancing are required.
