Due to the ongoing pandemic, the annual B’Town Jazz Fest had to be cancelled this year. However, B’Town Jazz has taken up the challenge of producing a series of virtual performances that you won’t want to miss!

February’s episode of Homegrown Hip! will feature the Tom Walsh (saxophones) and Luke Gillespie (piano) duo. Both teach in the world-renowned IU Jacobs School of Music; Walsh is the director of jazz studies and professor of saxophone and Gillespie is the professor of jazz piano. They are interviewed by longtime Bloomington High School North band director and co-author of the book “Jazzwomen” (IU Press), Janis Stockhouse.
