WonderLab Science StoryTime for children age birth through 6 years – Good Morning, Scientist!

Join us for a reading of Last Stop on Market Street by Matt de la Peña with illustrations by Christian Robinson. This book is a winner of the Newbery Medal, a Caldecott Honor, a Coretta Scott King Illustrator Honor. After the story, which features so many sights, sounds, and smells of a busy city neighborhood, we will talk about the five senses and create sound maps. Science Story Time allows young scientists to develop literacy and STEM skills as well as build vocabulary by actively participating in the program. Activities designed for ages 3-6. All welcome. Materials are not necessary, but feel free to have a balloon and a metal spoon on hand. Materials are not necessary, but feel free to have paper and any sort of writing or drawing utensil on hand.

WonderLab Animal Hour for All Ages – Animal Rights and Animal Welfare

In this Animal Hour we will discuss the difference between animal rights and animal welfare and will explore how WonderLab provides for the needs of our animal ambassadors. We will see some of the ways animal care staff provide enrichment and even have an exclusive video appearance from one of our charismatic reptile ambassadors. This program supports Indiana K-6 Life Science academic standards.
