Join us for a reading of Last Stop on Market Street by Matt de la Peña with illustrations by Christian Robinson. This book is a winner of the Newbery Medal, a Caldecott Honor, a Coretta Scott King Illustrator Honor. After the story, which features so many sights, sounds, and smells of a busy city neighborhood, we will talk about the five senses and create sound maps. Science Story Time allows young scientists to develop literacy and STEM skills as well as build vocabulary by actively participating in the program. Activities designed for ages 3-6. All welcome. In this Animal Hour we will discuss the difference between animal rights and animal welfare and will explore how WonderLab provides for the needs of our animal ambassadors. We will see some of the ways animal care staff provide enrichment and even have an exclusive video appearance from one of our charismatic reptile ambassadors. This program supports Indiana K-6 Life Science academic standards.
