Contra Dance

08:00 pm to 10:15 pm
Harmony School

Contra dancing is a little like square dancing, except you get to dance with almost everyone there in the course of one dance. All dances feature live music (Old Time, New England, and Irish dance tunes). Callers lead mostly contradances, with occasional squares, mixers, and other dances forms as well. This type of dance has a devout and enthusiastic following around the world. BOTMDG is one of the oldest groups of its kind in the country, and has danced every Wednesday since the group started in 1972. No partner required. Wear whatever you like, with emphasis on cool and comfortable. Come early for free lessons, ~7:30.

Cost: $4

An Important Message from Bloom Magazine

For the past 14 years, we have been publishing Bloom, a free, bimonthly cultural and lifestyle magazine serving Bloomington, Indiana, and surrounding communities. We have four missions: to support local businesses, local charities, local arts, and diversity. We are an integral part of the fabric of this community.

Like so many small businesses (4 employees), we are facing huge challenges in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope to be able to continue producing the magazine and our website, magbloom.com, but we need your help.

Please consider donating to our GoFundMe drive using the link below. Thank you!
