The District at Latimer Square Community Workshops

Trinitas Ventures is gathering community feedback on plans to develop the shuttered 95,000-square-foot 3rd Street Kmart on Bloomington’s east side near College Mall.

Public input and comments are encouraged and the community is invited to participate in person through the workshops and presentations that are to begin Tuesday, July 24, and run through Thursday, July 26.

The community workshops will be held at Binford Elementary School, 2300 East 2nd Street, Bloomington, IN 47401.

Community members can learn about the project online, see the full public engagement schedule and provide comments during the workshop period and beyond through the coUrbanize website at courbanize.com/trinitas-latimer.

Trinitas plans to redevelop the 12-acre site to a pedestrian-friendly, mixed-use development that includes residential, retail, office and hospitality. The development would transform Bloomington’s east side from strip centers and single-use developments to well-designed, mixed-use, pedestrian-friendly properties.
