I SURVIVED HIP REPLACEMENT SURGERY, FACTS, IMPRESSIONS, AND OPINIONS, THUS FAR.

5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Venue Fine Art & Gifts

On Wednesday, April 6, David J. Colman underwent hip replacement surgery at Indiana University Hospital North, Carmel, IN, performed by Dr John Hur. On April 19, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Venue will host a presentation by Colman describing how he became aware that he needed surgery through the steps of verifying the need, getting interim pain relief treatment, selecting a procedure and a surgeon, having the operation, and his rehabilitation thus far.
Hip replacement is the most prevalent orthopedic surgical procedure in America today. Hopefully more than just an exhibitionist indulgence, Colman’s presentation will provide the viewer with valuable information with which to confront their own health issues and treatment alternatives from someone who isn’t selling anything. At a minimum, it will provide an opportunity for all of his well wishers to come in and see for themselves if his extravagant claims are true.
Refreshments will be served.

Bloomington Songwriter Showcase – Greg O’Haver,Bill Price, Cathi Norton, Jason Blankenship

8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Bear's Place - 1316 E. 3rd St., Bloomington, IN 47401

Bill Price (BillPrice.net) is visiting us from Indianapolis. He was here in Feb. 2016 and tore the place up! His songs are exceptionally well written and subject matter often involves saving the planet. He’ll be sharing the stage with Greg O’Haver (myspace.com/gregoryohaver) – a talented fellow who has been touring with the New Christie Minstrels for a few years now. Greg is a writer as comfortable with Blues/Classic Rock as he is with music that will inspire you. O’Haver is an inventor, too! His modification to the classic capo has become a top seller of the Kyser Capo Company. Cathi Norton (facebook.com/Cathi.Norton) is the velvet voiced songstress who was the originator of the WFHB GoZpel Gurlz and is presently performing solo and/or with hubby Stuart Norton – who is known for his extreme Blues / County guitar work. The 4th Songwriter on this evening’s program is Jason Blankenship (jasonblank33.wix.com/Jason-Blankenship-music#) – who is a Southern Blues man with a Country Rock Edge. We Songwriters love it when Jason is on one of our programs because he can play along with anyone or any style of music – often adding his tasteful guitar work to his fellow Songwriter’s music (when asked of course ;-)). He is an exceptional writer in his own right – and can often be found performing as the lead guy in The Jason Blankenship Band. – We’ve got ya covered for whatever style of music you prefer this evening!
No Cover Charge – MUST BE 21+ to enter Bear’s Place back room concert hall.
