Second of 2 weeks: Sunday, November 22–12:00-3:00pm
In this 2 week class you will be introduced to the fundamentals of glass fusing. We will teach/ introduce you to:
• glass safety
• glass hand tools
• basic glass cutting
• types of glass and glass compatibility
• kiln overview
• arranging glass for fusing
• how heat affects glass
• firing schedule fundamentals
In particular we will focus on arranging glass for flat fusing – the first step towards many more advanced techniques. You will make a pendant and a set of 2 coasters or small dishes.
Class limit: 6 students/6 family units
Ages: 18 and up
