08:00 pm to 10:00 pm
The Players Pub - 424 South Walnut St., Bloomington IN 47401
https://www.facebook.com/BloomingtonSongwriters

Keith Skooglund has been a backup guy for Carrie Newcomer for years, and is a fine musician with some really, good songs and an equally great voice. Easy going stage presence, Skooglund is just a joy to watch and listen to. Writer/Performer. Rick LeDune is a high energy, County (mostly) Humor Writer who is a powerhouse when performing his songs. From Spencer, LeDune has met and performed with some pretty impressive talent, and feels as comfortable in Nashville TN as here in Bloomington IN. LeDune is the driving force behind the Awesome Possum Project – we’ll let him tell y’all bout that Monday night. Paul Matthew Lauck has won some cool awards for his Songwriting, including a spot on Blooming-Tunes Song Competition – Compilation CD and Winner’s Concert Lauck is a serious kinda guy, and his music reflects his beautiful lyrics and chord progressions . . . all done with a much thought, lyrics and music paired beautifully. Got someone you love? Bring ‘em to see Paul Matthew Lauck. Suzette Weakley who was one of the eight originators of the Bloomington Songwriter Showcase – still works for the organization along with Steev Wisher (and the soon retiring from the Staff) Tom Marshalek. Weakley has won a few nice accolades for her work as a Songwriter, including a Play for Publishers event in Austin TX, a Top Fifty award from the International Songwriting Competition, first place 2008 – Songwriting Division – Masterpiece in a day with randomly (and uber talented) co-writer Ryan Williams and most recently a spot and interview with Jason Wilbur’s ‘In Search of a Song’. This Showcase promises to have some memorable music and rumor has it that a few members of Hoosier Darling will be doing some special guests duties!
