Chow Bar
Asian, Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese, Seafood
216 S. Indiana Ave.

Chow Bar’s prime location on Indiana makes it a popular spot of students and faculty. The lunch buffet isn’t huge, but it offers more than the standard sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. Seafood is plentiful, especially at the Sunday buffet. Or order off the menu; spicy Szechuan dishes arrive slicked with fiery chili oil. Vegetable-based dishes shine, in particular tender eggplant and snappy green beans coated in addictive garlic sauce. Bubble tea is a big draw, available in a wide variety of flavors from green tea to taro root to passion fruit. The menu focuses on Taiwanese specialties but also features Japanese and Indonesian style entrées. Prices: Appetizers $2-6, lunch $5-8, house specialties $9-15 Hours: Mon-Fri 11 am-10 pm Sat noon-10 pm Sun noon-9 pm Bar: No Credit Cards: Visa, MC, Campus Access Outdoor Seating: No
